We’re excited to officially announce that FC Hegelmann Akademija is now part of the BaltixSport family!
Based in Kaunas, FC Hegelmann is one of Lithuania’s fastest-growing football academies. Known for its ambitious vision and high-quality training environment, the academy is committed to nurturing young talent — both on and off the pitch. That makes them a perfect partner for BaltixSport as we continue building stronger bridges between the Baltic region and U.S. college sports.
At BaltixSport, we believe that young Baltic athletes should have real, achievable opportunities to combine top-tier education with elite-level sport in the U.S. college system. This new collaboration with FC Hegelmann will:
“By signing a partnership agreement with BaltixSport, we have taken a significant step forward – creating opportunities for our academy players to study, train, and receive scholarships at universities in the United States,” said academy director Dainius Šumauskas and academy head Saulius Daugėla in a statement put out by FC Hegelmann.
The academy’s statement went on to say, “This kind of partnership serves as strong motivation for our young players and provides a clear goal for anyone striving to play football at a professional level. Our ambition is for players who grow within the FC Hegelmann structure to play professionally not only in Lithuania but also for top clubs abroad.”
“For us as an academy, that would be both a reward for the hard work we’ve put in and a major boost for everyone working toward our shared goal.“
“Partnerships like this are at the heart of our mission,” said Becca Poniškaitienė, Co-Founder of BaltixSport. “We’re not just creating opportunities — we’re providing a roadmap and the support system needed to succeed at every step. FC Hegelmann is a natural fit for that mission.”
We’ll begin hosting live webinars for each of our academy partners starting in August, once clubs return from summer holidays. These sessions will give athletes and families a chance to learn more about the U.S. college recruitment process and ask questions directly to our team.
