We’re proud to announce a major milestone for BaltixSport: our first official academy partnership is now in place — and we couldn’t have asked for a better partner than Kauno Žalgiris Football Academy!
Kauno Žalgiris FA is a powerhouse in Lithuanian youth football, known for producing technically gifted players and providing a professional training environment from a young age. Based in Lithuania’s second-largest city, the academy is deeply committed to helping athletes achieve their potential both locally and abroad.
“This cooperation opens up new opportunities for our young football players. The partnership with BaltixSport is a natural step that allows us to expand these opportunities on an international level”, said Artūras Samusevas, acting Director of KZFA. “From now on, our academy students will have a clear path to a combination of higher education and sports in the US. This will not only open the door to top-level university programs, but will also provide an opportunity to improve their football skills by training with US college teams and experiencing a different football culture. I believe that this cooperation will not only strengthen the position of Kauno Žalgiris Football Academy as an innovative and future-oriented football organization, but will also inspire many young football players to pursue their dreams both on and off the field. We look forward to seeing how this partnership will help our athletes reach new heights and open the door to an international future.”
Partnering with a prestigious academy like Kauno Žalgiris is more than just a badge of honour — it’s a powerful first step in achieving our mission. Together, we will:
“This partnership means more than just recruitment,” says BaltixSport CEO & Founder Tautvydas Poniškaitis. “It’s about building a system where Baltic athletes have real chances to succeed internationally.”
Over the coming months, we’ll begin working directly with Kauno Žalgiris players to:
This is just the beginning. Our team is actively building relationships with academies across Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia — so stay tuned as more partnerships roll out throughout 2025.
